With more than 1 million residents, Marrakesh is situated in the west of the land and is not at the sea. Marrakesh is a former imperial city and one of the most popular cities for tourists in the Maghreb. It is home to beautiful mosques, palaces and gardens, as well as the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square and souk market. This town is popular for its red color who comes from the sand and the houses.

You can find different types of beaches on the coast of Morocco. From long stretches of fine sand to pebbly beaches, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, Morocco offers you plenty of possibilities !
The desert
When we think of a desert, we directly think of high dunes and fine sand but there is different types of deserts in Morocco.
The stone deserts that surround the oases of the Drâa valley, the high plateaus of the Atlas or, further south, the very large expanses of Western Sahara, which come to the beaches of the Atlantic. Everybody can find what he wants !

To avoid the stifling heat of summer, prefer a trip to Morocco in spring or autumn. Winter is generally mild and summer warm. In Marrakech, temperatures range from 19°C in the winter to 37°C in the summer months.

1) Morocco is a Muslim country which implies a great importance to the clothes worn. For women, it would be better not to wear clothes too short, not to show too much legs or shoulders. It could attract the attention of many people and show a lack of interest in the customs of the country.
2) Learn a few words of the local language will take you (literally) three minutes and Moroccans will really appreciate your efforts
3)Dealing can be as stressful as it is fun. For Moroccans, bartering is a social interaction and a way of life so don’t stress!
4)Bottled water is your best friend, forget everything that comes out of the tap and pay attention to street food. The ways of cooking are not the same as in western countries. Eating in restaurants is the best way to avoid losing a day of your trip to bed with stomach aches.
