I have always been motivated to seek a career in management from my childhood, witnessing the business activities of my father. He has his own textile business in Handloom Sarees and who is a self motivated person and dedicated to his work. In my schooling days, I have always performed well and actively participated in many competitive exams and science exhibitions which not only helped me to acquire knowledge but also helped me to think out of the box. I had keen interest in Mathematics & general science topics which motivated me to select M.P.C group (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in Intermediate level for further enrichment of my knowledge in mathematics and science. Thereafter, I have successfully secured my intermediate certificate from Narayana Junior College, Andhra Pradesh, India and Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Bapatla Engineering College (Autonomous) affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, India. During my bachelor’s, I studied various subjects related to my interests like Process Design, Heat transfer, Mass Transfer and Chemical Process Equipment Design which certainly helped me to gain all-round knowledge of Chemical engineering. As a part of my final year curriculum, I did a project on “Production of Linear Alkyl Benzene” in which I produced a biodegradable surfactant. I participated in various national level technical symposiums and presented papers on academic topics. Immediately after completion of my under graduation, I was inspired by my college senior, through his inspiration I did Post Graduate Diploma in Process Design Engineering. With this Degree I secured a Job in Zen Chemiconsultech as a Process Engineer. Also, I got an opportunity to work with Petrocon Engineers. I have worked as process engineer for various EPC projects like petrochemicals, Oil & Gas and pharmaceuticals. In continuation, by involving and performing Process Engineer activities like reviewing and updating the PFD/P&ID, Pump Hydraulic calculations, Line Sizing calculations, Equipment sizing calculations, Pump Suction and discharge sizing, pump head calculations and N.P.S.H calculations, Vapor Line size, Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) and Rupture Disc (RD) sizing, Control valve sizing. Furthermore, I was an active key person in selecting the vendors by considering client standards & requirements with the aid of my supervisor, during this time I had opportunity to meet and negotiate with various vendors through online and I was acted as a medium between client and other disciplines like Finance, instruments, Electrical, and mechanical. Through this activity I have gained
ample of knowledge on time management, team building management, and effective utilization of available resources by understanding company’s policies and government regulations. I was also responsible to implementing safety in design throughout the project. My involvement in all those activities made me aware of my capabilities & stronger zones which greatly improved my leadership qualities. It taught me the managerial skills, effective team building skills needed to face the world. It also helped me identify the areas of development & shortcomings in me. The management area needs a diverse amount of knowledge in Marketing, Project Management, Accounting Tools, and Trade Organizations. Masters in Global Management (MGM) create an expertise on the mentioned areas. MGMs usually feature a notable focus on personal development and leadership skills. It will assist me with developing great interpersonal skills, issue solver and overall, helps in applying managerial theory to the practical business applications. I believe through this MGM I will get a clear understanding of how a business operates considering the socio-economic environment and able to manage the challenges of global affairs. Royal Roads University is well known for its stature in research and diversity. The Faculties are highly experienced, resourceful, there is a team work implemented, one can develop Inter-personal skills and managing the project works. There are further chances of internships; the university is offering that would be of a great importance to my career after the Graduation. Almost all the campuses are well equipped and have all the required facilities as per the student’s needs. All these reasons made me to choose Royal Roads University for my short and long term goals. Canada is one of the best study destinations in the world for “Global Management”. Studying in Canada gives me innovative and independent thinking and most of all it helps to globalise. Canada degree is globally recognized.The most important thing which my parents and I are concerned about is the safety and we believe Canada is one of the safest countries. Of-course India also offers Global management in many universities, but they lack the pragmatic approach towards the subject. In five to ten years I would like to see myself in position to lead a business sector or a company which will impact the growth of my country through the MGM program. I sincerely believe that with my hard work and dedication I will be able to live up to the high standards expected of a student in Royal Roads University.
